Start a Chapter of Grassroots Apologetics for Parents at Your Church This Fall!

Three years ago this month, Grassroots Apologetics for Parents (GAP) was born! A team and I had a vision to help close the GAP that exists for parents between knowing the world will challenge their kids’ faith and knowing what to do about it.

Our vision was to develop a model where people with a passion for apologetics could become “Parent Ambassadors” (PAs) who would launch and host GAP chapters at their local churches (with GAP providing all the materials and direction needed–we wanted to make it EASY!). Chapters would bring together parents, grandparents, and others for regular meetings to study important apologetics topics over multiple seasons, based on a recommended study plan provided by GAP:

In the last three years, dozens of chapters have launched around the world! Covid-19 put many churches’ plans on hold, but with most churches now resuming groups, our GAP team is looking for people who are interested in launching a chapter at their church this Fall.

If you are:

1) concerned about how few people in the church are equipped with an understanding of how to stand strong for the truth of Christianity in a skeptical culture;

2) wishing YOUR church would do more to equip parents/grandparents in particular;

3) feeling like you don’t have the time to figure out what kind of group to start or study to lead, BUT…

4) would potentially lead a group if someone handed you everything you needed to get going, from a letter to approach your leadership with, all the way down to weekly leader materials…

then GAP may be perfect for you!

We have a live Zoom information session coming up on May 17th, 2021, at 6 PM (PST). This will be led by GAP President, Janel Greig, and current Parent Ambassadors will be available to answer questions.

To register, CLICK HERE!

Those who sign up will be emailed the Zoom link prior to the meeting.

If you cannot attend the meeting, you can learn about GAP on our website and fill out a Parent Ambassador interest form there. Please know that expertise in apologetics is NOT a requirement. A PA is simply a person with a passion for sharing the importance of apologetics and who is willing to facilitate discussions based on the guides provided.

Filling out an interest form also does NOT mean you’re committing to anything. It simply gets the conversation going with our team so we can help you find out if GAP is a good fit for you and your church.

We look forward to hearing from you! Please share this with anyone you know who might be interested in bringing GAP to their church.

On a side note, as a personal update, I’m currently on deadline writing my next book, Faithfully Different (coming in February 2022!), so it will likely be a bit quiet on the blog and podcast in the month of May.
